Izmir Prosecution Office Issues Arrest Warrants for 23 Suspects Linked to ISIS Fundraising

The Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau of Izmir Public Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants for 23 suspects in Izmir, Mersin, Adana, and Manisa as part of the investigations into the ISIS armed terrorist organization for fundraising for the organization.

Police teams carried out simultaneous operations on 10 businesses in 4 cities, and 16 suspects were taken into custody.

During the operations, $4,110, €7,205, 434,650 Turkish lira, 40 grams of gold, and numerous digital materials were seized from these individuals.

Out of the 16 suspects referred to the courthouse, 10 were arrested, while the other 6 were released, with 2 of them being subject to judicial control.

The teams continue their efforts to apprehend the remaining 7 suspects.
